Danish lorry loader cranes manufacturer, HMF, recently extended its contract with Briton’s reclaimer of charity textile, Wilcox. They will be supplying one more hydraulic truck mounted loader crane. The HMF Company’s contract with Wilcox goes back to more than six years, when the Wilcox Co. gave them specifications for designing crane lorry loaders for them.

The latest HMF crane which was released just more than a month ago was the 1075-K2 crane. This crane has been designed so that it can lift as well as dump textile openers which are bottom opening and weigh up to 800 kg. This is made possible with the help of a bank type bottle attachment. Because of this, it is able to make around an average pick ups of at least 50 in a day, which also includes emergency pick ups of full bins.

The Wilcox Company’s fleet already includes 15 trucks which are of the Iveco brand. These trucks have cranes which have the ability to be controlled by radio and have a 10tM lifting capacity. These cranes which are mounted on alloy high sided tipping bodies are manufactured by the Leeward Truck Bodies. These cranes feature covers which retract automatically, while their tipping under floor gear is supplied by Harsh.

Martin Wilcox of Wilcox praised the engineering by HMF, saying that the quality of build is really good, and even their five year old cranes have not suffered much beyond the routine tear and wear, and Graham Cook, the HMF engineer provides quarterly service of maintenance which is excellent.

The Wilcox Co. has been is business since the year 1985, and operates a 55 commercial vehicle fleet which has been designed to be able to retrieve clothing of 750,000 kg from 2,500 different collection points. After this they are then taken to the company’s bilston facility which is located in West Midlands and they are later on processed to be exported in the African, Asian and European continents.

So far, the HMF Co. has been supplying cranes to the Wilcox Co. since six years back and because of their excellent quality build as well as great maintenance service and other exemplary features, the company had its contract for manufacturing cranes for the Wilcox Co. extended further.
